2026 golf balls: who each one suits
Every 2026 golf ball in our catalog that is still made, with the kind of golfer our fitting ranks it for. No golf ball is crowned: the right one depends on your swing.
How this list is made
We ran the fitting's own ranking on 44 test golfer profiles, which span handicaps 0–36 and swing speeds 65–120 mph, over every golf ball still made, whatever its year. For each 2026 golf ball we counted how many profiles rank it first and how many have it in their top three. “First for 5 of 44” means five of those profiles put it first. It is a count over our test profiles, not a claim about all golfers.
Golf balls are ordered by first-place rankings, then top-three rankings, then name. A golf ball with no count is still listed: it may suit a swing none of our test profiles covers. Prices are launch prices from our catalog, not today's.
For golf balls the ranking matches swing speed to a ball's compression and handicap to its cover, and uses ball flight and a ballooning miss to pick the spin. It does not read tempo or any other miss.

It is a count over our test profiles, not a claim about all golfers; the fitting ranks for your own swing.
Which 2026 golf ball suits a higher handicap?
We ranked 18 test golfer profiles who have a handicap of 20 or more. The 2026 golf balls that ranked first or in the top three for them most often are Titleist Velocity (first for 3, in the top three for 6), Bridgestone TOUR B RX (first for 1, in the top three for 1) and TaylorMade Tour Response (first for 1, in the top three for 1). It is a count over our test profiles, not a claim about all golfers; the fitting ranks for your own swing.
Are 2026 golf balls a better fit than older ones?
Not automatically. Across our 44 test golfer profiles the fitting's top three golf balls give 132 places, and 53 of them went to 2026 golf balls. The rest went to golf balls from other years that are still sold. A golf ball is judged on how it fits a swing, not on its year.
