Privacy Policy

Overview

FitMySwing is a free AI-powered golf club fitting tool. We're committed to transparency about the minimal data we collect and how we handle it.

What We Collect

  • Fitting form inputs— swing speed, handicap, equipment, preferences, and optionally launch monitor data. These are stored in your browser's session storage and sent to our API to generate your report.
  • Generated reports — your fitting report is stored on our servers (via encrypted Redis) so it can be shared via a unique link. Reports are retained for 90 days.
  • IP address — used solely for rate limiting (5 fittings per day per IP). IP addresses are hashed and not stored beyond the rate-limit window (24 hours).
  • Email address (optional) — if you choose to save your report via email, we store your email address and link it to your report ID. If you opt in to marketing, we may send occasional product updates. Your email is retained for 1 year and never shared with third parties.
  • Basic analytics — we use Vercel Analytics, which collects anonymised page view data (no cookies, no personal identifiers). See Vercel's privacy policy.

What We Don't Do

  • We do not require an account or collect your name or email (unless you opt in to save your report).
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
  • We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
  • We do not have affiliate relationships with any golf equipment brand.
  • We do not store your data beyond what's needed to deliver the service.

AI Processing

Your fitting data is sent to an AI model via a third-party API (OpenRouter) to generate recommendations. The data sent includes your swing metrics, equipment, and preferences — no personal identifiers. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Data Retention

  • Session storage data is cleared when you close your browser tab.
  • Shareable reports are retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
  • Email addresses (if provided) are retained for 1 year.
  • Rate-limit records expire after 24 hours.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of a specific report by contacting us with the report URL. Since we don't collect personal identifiers, there is no “account” to delete.
