2025 wedges: who each one suits
Every 2025 wedge in our catalog that is still made, with the kind of golfer our fitting ranks it for. No wedge is crowned: the right one depends on your swing.
How this list is made
We ran the fitting's own ranking on 44 test golfer profiles, which span handicaps 0–36 and swing speeds 65–120 mph, over every wedge still made, whatever its year. For each 2025 wedge we counted how many profiles rank it first and how many have it in their top three. “First for 5 of 44” means five of those profiles put it first. It is a count over our test profiles, not a claim about all golfers.
Wedges are ordered by first-place rankings, then top-three rankings, then name. A wedge with no count is still listed: it may suit a swing none of our test profiles covers. Prices are launch prices from our catalog, not today's.
For wedges the ranking mostly reads handicap (it sets the sole width, spin and launch we look for) and budget. Swing speed counts only through each wedge's rated speed window. It does not read tempo or your usual miss.

Which 2025 wedge suits a higher handicap?
We ranked 18 test golfer profiles who have a handicap of 20 or more. The 2025 wedges that ranked first or in the top three for them most often are Wilson Staff Infinite (first for 8, in the top three for 17), Ping BunkR (first for 0, in the top three for 14) and Callaway CB 12 (first for 0, in the top three for 2). It is a count over our test profiles, not a claim about all golfers; the fitting ranks for your own swing.
Which 2025 wedge suits a lower handicap?
We ranked 8 test golfer profiles who have a handicap of 5 or less. None of them has a 2025 wedge in the top three, so no 2025 wedge is a match on our ranking. The 2025 wedges still listed above can suit other golfers.
Are 2025 wedges a better fit than older ones?
Not automatically. Across our 44 test golfer profiles the fitting's top three wedges give 132 places, and 42 of them went to 2025 wedges. The rest went to wedges from other years that are still sold. A wedge is judged on how it fits a swing, not on its year.
